PRIOR TO ANY INSTALLATION
- We install all of our EV Charge points in accordance with the latest IET Code of Practice for EV charging.
- In order to give you a complete and accurate quote for your home charge point we require you to complete our short survey. Once you have completed the pre-site survey this will provide us with the relevant information and confirm if you qualify for a standard installation. We will then be able to supply you with a fixed no obligation quote for your installation
- As EV charging Points are new technology with a high demanding current for long durations constant current or load, prior to any electrical installation we will contact the DNO (District Network Operator) and apply for connection and to confirm your property has a suitable main fuse rating for the new EV charger circuit. If required, it can be upgraded by your local DNO and is usually free of charge.
- Prior to the installation, the electrician will discuss and agree a suitable charge point location and ensure it is installed at the appropriate height and a suitable wifi connection will need to be determined at your desired charge point location.
Before connecting the EV charger to your existing installation we need to confirm the main fuse, service cable and earthing at the property is adequate and fit for purpose.
This is an important step to ensure the safety and compliance with relevant regulations and we cannot connect until this have been verified but don’t worry this will be fully explained clearly and any additional charges will be included in your free quote so you’ll never have any additional charges on the day of installation.
